Absztrakt festményeket készítek, többnyire álló formátumban, amelyeket két motívummal egy ellipszis és egy rács forma segítségével alakítom ki. A festmények nem sorozatok, hanem folyamatos kísérletnek a darabjai, ahol azt kutatom a bizonytalanság szűrőjén: hogyan lehet betartani és átlépni a szabályokat? A munkáim színesek, élénkek, a formák a kép határáig tartanak, így egy feszített kompozíciót eredményeznek. A formák a szabadkézi vonal sebezhetőségével utalnak az ember jelenlétére. A festészetről hasonlóan gondolkodnak tartom: Günther Förg-öt, Raoul De Keyser-t, Mark Rothko-t, Birkás Ákost, Philip Guston-t, Michael Krebber-t … akiket nehéz egy halmazba sorolni, de munkáikban fontos: a gondolat következetessége; a képfelületek tapintható festői minősége.

 

I create abstract paintings, mostly in a portrait format, with two motifs using an ellipse and a grid shape. The paintings are not a series, but pieces of an ongoing experiment where I explore through a filter of uncertainty: how can the rules be adhered to and transgressed? My works are colourful, vibrant, and the shapes extend to the edge of the picture, resulting in a taut composition. The forms suggest the presence of the human with the vulnerability of the freehand line. I consider similar thinkers about painting: Günther Förg, Raoul De Keyser, Mark Rothko, Ákos Birkás, Philip Guston, Michael Krebber ... who are difficult to group together, but in their work what is important: consistency of thought; a tactile painterly quality of the surfaces of the images.
